The president is tasked with providing strong leadership for the company by working with the board and other executives to establish short and long-term goals, plans and strategies. They are responsible for presiding over the entire workforce and make sure resources are allocated properly. The president will make sure departments meet their individual goals and are responsible for overall accountability of the organization.
Working with the board of directors and other senior executives of the organization, the vice president plans, develops and enforces policies and objectives for the organization to ensure it maintains its values and meets established goals.
A Treasurer manages and oversees the management of the financial affairs of the organization, often including such basic tasks as selecting a bank, reconciling bank statements, and managing cash flow.
The secretary's duties include managing all the organization's internal communications and preparing or keeping track of board meeting dates, meeting agendas and minutes from the meeting. The not-for-profit corporate secretary might attend all board meetings to keep a detailed record of the board's actions.
The Community Outreach Coordinator helps the organization to promote the organization, media campaigns and works closely with the volunteer and fundraising coordinators. By doing this, the Community Outreach Worker helps their organization fulfill its mission to service the community.
The Volunteer/Support Coordinator's responsibilities include recruiting and training new volunteers, keeping a database of volunteer information and skills, matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skills, keeping volunteers informed, and conveying the organization's purpose to the public.
Fundraising/Donation Coordinator coordinates fundraising strategies and is responsible for supporting major fundraising programs. Assists in the development of fundraising goals and soliciting funds. Fundraising Coordinator helps to identify new potential donors and organizes initiatives to solicit funding.
The event and planning coordinator arranges formative plans with the client, handles the booking of the event and arranges the logistics of creating and hosting the event. Event coordinators must possess excellent written and verbal communication as well as the ability to work well with others.
